Histological Studies of Acute Carbon Monoxide Poisoning on the Mesenteric Mast Cell of Mice

Abstract
The author studied the quantitative distribution of the mesenteric mast cells of mice and changes of their cytoplasmic granules after poisoned at 1%, 5% and 0. 1% of carbon monoxide for 10 mins.; to 24 hrs.
The following results were obtained.
1) Mast cells tendence to decrease after CO poisoning at 1 % and 0.5%.
2) Mast cells decrease from 30 mins. of A type after CO poisoning at 1%, but increase from 30 mins. of C type, 10 mins. of D type.
3) Mast cells decrease from lhr. of A type, 4hrs. of B type after CO poisoning at 0.5%. but increase from 30 mins. of C type, 10 mins of D type.
4) Mast cell increase during from 1hr. to 24hrs. after CO poisoning.
